The Festival DJs
Alexis Boileau
Alexis discovered Tango in 2013 - the same year he completed his doctorate music degree in classical piano performance. After a few years dancing in Montreal, he decided to create piano-solo arrangements of his favourite tangos to perform at tango events; eventually swapping his piano for a computer to become a tango DJ.
Alexis is resident Dj at the weekly Montreal milonga Le bisou and is also part of the totating Dj team at Studio Tango. Known for his energetic style and his ability to make a good read of the dance floor, he has been invited to DJ at events such as Borealis Encuentro, Sonemos Marathon, Milonga Arrabalera, Milonga La Capital, and more.
Alexis dj’d at last year’s Bailongo and we are super happy that he can join us again. He’ll be djing our Wednesday night Welcome Milonga and will create the perfect vibe to start the fest off on the right foot!

She regularly DJs at the local milongas in the San Francisco Bay Area where she is based. She has been invited to DJ in Asia and in Europe, as well as at major events in the United States such as the Portland Tango Festival, Nora's Tango Week, Holiday Tango in DC, San Diego Tango Marathon, etc,
